2024 is the 56th Anniversary of Mareeba District Garden Awards which is run annually and covers gardens in the Mareeba Shire. The intention is to encourage residents and business proprietors to take pride in their premises and streets. Categories include best Front Garden including Footpath, Town, Rural Residential, Native, Commercial and People's Choice Award (voted on through the facebook page).

Beside the fun and games of the carnival, an exhibition of creative works is displayed in a marquee. 

With more than $7000 in prize money, this event showcases the best from our region.
